I got one while I was at Bananas, in December, they use Cholos, it was 65.00 for 24 hours. They have them right on the property.

Just a quick thought. Most people come to San Pedro to enjoy the quaintness and quiet atmosphere. The fact the we have gas powered golf carts here (and now motor skooters) is contrary to the entire setting. Be kind to the environment and use an electric cart, they are quiet and if properly maintained go anywhere and for days. Also anytime you rent from the resort or hotel you are paying more than you need to as they are marking up the service. Our traffic dept. must have been smoking something good when they allowed gas powered anything on our isla bonita.
That being said, welcome and enjoy your stay!

I find this puzzling in light of the soaring gas prices....... What would the advantage be???

What do you do when you see an endangered animal that is eating an endangered plant?

I was really surprised gas powered vehicles were going to be part of the "new" San Pedro. So cool to go down years ago and find little if any gas burning anything.

We were down in February, and if we could have found anything remotely like a down-side, it would have been those dang carts - smelly, kicking up dust everywhere, driving too fast, too many........

After getting caught once on the road between zooming carts and the wall, baking in the sun - we decided to get smart and walk on the beach!

Ahhhh, that was MUCH better!

I really don't know how you folks that live there stand those foul things.

I guess I wasn't the only one with a dislike for those carts.
Sorry folks.
