Would love to hear where your favorite places to stay are. We have stayed at the Palms and Paradise Villas. We like quiet, but close enough to walk and air conditioning. Coming down in May to find a place to stay for 2 months next winter.

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain.

I vote for Paradise Resort Hotel, right next to where you were. Just the nicest place you can imagine. Old time Belize, but totally tidy and clean and fine. Great staff, you'll get whatever you need. A year ago, I was preparing to leave a tip for the person who was kind enough to pick up a prescription for me at the Doctors. She said, not to, that is part of their job. Well, I did, but that's just the mind set of the place. Check their web-site to see if it works for you. I've been told by other people on this site that it's not for everyone. That is true, it's not a condo. I love it! If you choose to, go for one of the "Villas" I think V3 is the best if you want to spend $130. I was fond of 6B and 5B before I found V3, but no kitchen facilities. They all have A/C. Although, be sure to ask them. Some of the older buildings may not. There are rooms as low as $75. Have fun!

And here come the kvetchers! Guys get over it, our purpose here is to share info. That's it.
