Kristi,

Did you ever see the movie "CLub Paradise", where the ladie turns on the shower and nothing comes out. When someone turns on the water a few seconds later, she is still holding onto the shower handles and goes flying from the presure - like a flag in a hurricane.

Welcome to the Islands.

belikin would work for me, Axe!

Good thing you had water some of the time, at least you didn't have to be salt encrusted. :p

The water company in town had a problem with their pumps, and the brandnew backup pump didn't work. The problem is solved now.

For what it is worth, the water was rationed in SP for several days prior to my arrival as a result of a diesel engine failure at the desalination plant. The periods when water would not be avialable was publicly available.

The San Pedro Sun reported on 4/17, that both diesel engines at the desalination plant are scheduled to be upgraded sometime after the Easter holidays. There will be a temporary engine installed to supply full power to the plant as each engine is upgraded. This activity should end the island's water woes.

I, personally, did not have any water related issues, as to my knowledge, I never bathed.
