For all who are wondering about the condition of Ramon's Village in SP. I have a source that has informed me Magnum Belize (tour operator) has dispatched a representative to the resort. Will be arriving on Thurday and will be reporting back to Magnum & to the owners of the resort in Mississippi, USA. Unless there is other first hand info this will be the first opportunity to get truely reliable info. We all hope for the best for staff and friends.

went to san pedro today and ramon's was a mess-did not walk into the property but from the road there you could see many thatched huts were damaged-I think ramon's is more cleanup than anything.

Able to confrim that representative will report back to home office on Friday morning. Promised an accurate and honest report complete with estimates on when all will be up and running.

Several cabanas lost roofs and/or top floors. A couple of the beachfront units next to the Palms badly damaged. Main building seemed to hold up OK. They have a generator and many families staying at Ramon's and nearby are able to cook rice and such.
