I always see dolphins when I sail from Corozal Town in Northern Belize to San Pedro & back. The most I have ever seen was near Blackador Caye. Never jumped in the water with them but they are fun to watch playing around the boat.
Up and down the coast, up rivers, all over, alot of the time. I saw one kayaking a few days ago off Maya Beach. Encounters are more of a commom occurance than not.
I have seen them right in front of Banana Beach a few times, not very close, but still saw them. I also saw them on the Manatee trip with Searious and the Winnie Estelle.
I am not sure if you mean people in the water or surface viewing. The one place that I see dolphins about 95% of the time is behind Long Caye leading me to believe that this must be a pod that stays in that area. Long Caye is the next caye down from Caye Chapel (next caye up would be Caye Caulker and then Ambergris). I have seen them all over the barrier reef of Belize from north to south and at the atolls.
