We are considering Belize Beach Suites for our stay in June, but can't find much information on this resort. Would anyone who be kind enough to post a review?
Since it is on the north side, w cool e are a bit concerned about getting back and forth if we were to stay out late. I understand the water taxis stop running after 10:00pm. Should this be a concern? Is there another way around, in case we get stuck?

I don't know a thing about Belize Beach Suites. As a general suggestion, I would say, if you want to be 'out and about', you need to be in the village. If you want to just bask in the sun away from the world, go North. Unless something has changed since March, you cannot get back north in the evening. The hand bridge shuts down, too. I'm not sure how late the boats run, you should check on that. If you go South, you can get a taxi, when you want to be 'out and about'. Not so easy North. For myself, I like to be at the edge of the village. That way, I can amble about at will. I like Paradise Resort Hotel. But, to each his own.

Hi Marie, Thanks for your response. I see that you are very generous on this site with great information. My husband is from Ireland too(County Louth) and we were married there (I saw your posting on another message). Since we are celebrating our 5th wedding anniv., I think we will split the trip in two, 3 nights north (if I can find any info on Belize Beach suites) and 4 days in town. That way we can get a taste of both worlds. Thanks again!

Check out this link:
http://www.belizeforum.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=10;t=000297

If this link doesn't work, go to belizeforum.com and do a search on Belize Beach Suites. It's the post under travelogues titled "January Trip" on 2/7/03. I saw the property on a trip in 2000 and thought it was beautiful, but I didn't look at any interiors. Also do a search on this board, you might find some more info.

Thanks Janet from Boston! I will do that. I actually called some of the businesses around the suites and they said great things about it. I'm surprised that more people don't know about it.

Belize Beach Suite is the same property as White Sands Cove - maybe you can find more info on it searching under that name. Privately owned condos so advertised under different names/sites.
