Me and my wife are honeymooning in belize and staying at captain morgan's retreat. Can anyone give me a review of the resort? and we are looking to do some fun day trips. Does anyone have suggestion for tours? vendors? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Joe, if you go the the main page for the Message Board for Ambergris Caye and Belize and select search, you can find a wealth of information on any subject ever discussed on this board. When are you going to be going to AC?

My boyfriend and I will be there from June 19th-26th and are thinking about going on the cave tubing/Belize zoo trip. Have you been there before? I was there once about 2 years ago. I can't wait either!

Guides and Tour companies that have been special to us over the years:

Snorkeling: Alfonse Graniel, L'il Alfonse under "Goods & Services" drop down menu above, phone: 614-5450; 226-3537; great guy & guide, wonderful with people & fish; ask him about other snorkeling sites after you visit Hol Chan & Shark Ray Alley

Fishing: Ramon or Severo Guerrero, phones 226-2325, 226-2324; E-mail: [email protected]; great fishermen and fun to spend a day with; they cook a great beach picnic with your catch and will send fillets back with you for a restaurant to cook for future meals.

Catamaran Sailing: Geraldo Badillo, 226-2264, fun and serene; "El Gato" under "Goods & Services" drop down menu above

Mainland Tours: Tanisha or Seaduced (both via "Goods & Services" drop down menu above)

Great local food: Los Cocos restaurant on north end of town; off middle street just north past Richie's Supermarket ("Save 4 Less"); wonderful whole fried snapper and fish fillets

Happy trip!

When we were there before, we missed lobster season by one week and were so disappointed, but we had plenty of good food while we were there. You are going during a very small window (approx. 15 days per year) where lobster and conch are both in season. I'm sure the weather will be perfect...trust me.

Joe, My wife and I spent our Honeymoon in Belize at CM's and we had a great time, I know you will too. Seeing is Belizeing! We found CM's to be relaxing, secluded, and peaceful, and the staff is excellent, everything we wanted for our honeymoon. If you like, please feel free to email us any questions you have and we'll try to help. [email protected]

Hi Joe! I'm an accountant from Texas (saw your profile). I too will be honeymooning in Belize 6/22-6/28. We are staying at the Portofino. It will the first trip to Belize for both of us. When is the wedding?
