The Lobster Season is proving good. Abundant catches!! Have had Lobster Dinners at Caliente's, Papi's and Lilies Resturant. They all come in first place, as I don't want to be poisoned the next time. Caliente's did have the largest side of melted butter with garlic!!

Bill, how long does lobster season last? I mean at the restaurants; I'm not diving for mine The local catch is spiny lobster, correct? or is there an indigenous lobster that's different from the Fl Keys type spiny lobster... curiouser, as usual

Hi Beach Bob: Yes, we have spiny Lobsters here just like the Key West, although ours speak Spanish!! The Lobster season runs from June 15th until February (I believe). Take care: Bill

Hi Bill...just returned back from AC on June 7th and was disappointed to miss out on the lobster season. We are planning to go back next year around May 27th and stay for 10 days which would mean missing out again on lobster season. We are considering going a little later My question is this: is it advisable to wait until a little later in June to travel to AC in order to eat lobster at the risk of rainy weather or is it still too early to matter. Decent weather is more important to me than lobster. Is there any difference in weather if you travel on May 27th for 10 days or if you travel a week later for 10 days. Thanks for your input!

Hi Kathy, I don't think there is ANY difference in the weather in that time period. In fact, about the only rain there has been in my 6 weeks here is the few days that Sweet Jane was here!!! I'm heading home on Thursday. Lets keep in touch. I'll most likely be thru Macon in the next few weeks (on my way to the Gift Mart in Atlanta). Maybe we can meet for Panty Rippers!! Cheerz, Vicki

Hey there Vicki! I know it makes you sick to come home. I will be in touch with you through your e-mail. I am sure I will be coming down in June. Cannot say for sure which week. I am in such a hurry to get back down it'll be hard to wait for lobster but I will try. Let me hear from you!!!

Bill, thanks for the info... my Spanish is very limited so I will not attempt to interview any lobsters during my upcoming trip (July!). We will make do with sign language.
