And here's a simple answer wink

What time does your flight arrive at BZ International? How many in your party? How much luggage do you have?

I ask because if your flight arrives later in the day, it it a timing issue. Just take a Tropic Air or Maya Air flight out of BZ International direct to San Pedro. If you get in earlier in the day and don't have a bunch of luggage you can take the water taxi from BZ City to San Pedro.

If there are a bunch of you in your party and you get in earlier in the day, you can grab a taxi over to the Municipal Airport (about $20) and fly to SP from there. Will save you money if you are four or more bodies in your party, not really worth it for two or less, IMO.

Me, I'd rather just pay the bit extra for the flight from BZ Int. and have my feet up with my first Beliken ASAP.
A fish and a bird can fall in love, but where will they build their nest?

I've gone to AC all ways imagineable... I think I swam once! laugh...

Personally, I would always just fly from the airport. Going by boat can get choppy... I've seen more than a few people get seasick...

It's really not worth taking a taxi to Municipal... by the time you add up the cab fare, the tip... you're already up to the cost of the flight right from the main airport.

By boat it is cheaper and much longer!! If you can (will) afford it...fly Tropic or Mayan Air to AC!!! 15 minutes....C

If the weather is nice, take the water taxi, it is a great trip, but not if it rains or the water is choppy......have been stuck under a tarp for protection from the elements, but have had the most beautiful sunset "cruise" and nice chats with other travelers. If you are tired or the weather is not to great, that kind of thing, just fly from International to San Pedro. You should have no problems getting seats, you don't need to book in advance! have a wonderful time!

the boat ride is divine if you get to go at night....nothing like cruising thru pitch darkness at 60 mph looking for the southern cross...although the ocassional drifting sandbar adds a little suspense to the trip which is a trip itself....but, thats a small price to pay to experience life in the slowlane...i say, ahoy mate....heres to the open sea...
