Sounds like there are alot of places to get good food and drink on AC. But I'll still ask the age old question-Are there some dos and don'ts when it comes to what's safe to eat and drink on AC. My wife says I have an iron stomach but she seems to be a bit concerned about picking up a stomach bug of some sort. I can read all the travel books in the world but still not get as good a feedback as from folks like yourselves that have spent alot of time there. Thanks

Food or water have never spoiled any of my trips. Drink bottled if you want to play it extra safe, tap is ok, but not real tasty(or is it?).

Tap water is ok, but it doesn't taste very good. As far as eating--enjoy!!! And yes it is safe to eat from the street vendors in San Pedro; if you check some of the other threads you will find some details as to favorite restaurants/dishes and the street vendors are also usually mentioned!
