Hi, we are planning to take our honeymoon in October and we are wondering which resort to choose, Ramon's or Banyan? We love to Scuba, what are the best spots?

We stayed at Ramon's last March and are returning in just 23 days! Check out our website for lot's of Ramon's pictures. http://mywebpages.comcast.net/iwehmeier/index.html In all honesty the rooms are small however, it was perfect for us. We really didn't spend much time in the room anyways. We had a beachfront room on the non seawall side. The beachfront rooms are right on the beach. We could sun and swim right out in front of our room. It was truely wonderful there. Great clean beach. You can swim off the beach or the pier. Beautiful grounds and pool. Fabulous staff. In our opinion the best Panty Rippers on the island. You are right next to town. (Can you tell I am excited about returning) I haven't been to Banyon Bay but I understand it is beautiful there. I am sure others on this board can give you information about that resort. I am cerain you would be happy with either choice. Have a wonderful honeymoon where ever you choose to stay. cool mobunny

When I was there at the end of June, the seagrass right in front of Banyan Bay was so stinky in made me gag.

Just as an FYI - While we were there Ramon's raked their beach every morning. Sometimes they raked twice a day if the sea grass was really piling up. mobunny

ramon's is nice, but it right in town. i stayed there 10 yrs ago, and i understand they have made improvements. i didnt like staying that close to town and thought the food was good but pricey (good drinks). nice place but you can do better for a honeymoon.

do not pick a meal plan ANYWHERE, as too many great places to eat.

i'd pick victoria house or caribe island (caribeislandresort.com), both more secluded, less crowded beaches. check out the 'lodgings' link.

as always, JMHO
