I finally talked a friend into going to San Pedro! Which of the following hotels do you think he ought to stay in?

Coconuts
MataRocks
Caribbean Villas
Seven Seas Resort
Bananna Beach

He'll be a single traveler so will want to be somewhat close to town... But he also wants a beach where he can hang out in a hammock. Thanks!!!

Coconuts or Mata Rock would be your best bets

Having read the board for years, I would say either Coconuts or Banana Beach. I have not stayed at either, but trusting others judgements.

To add another choice, that would be Ramon's.

Caribbean Villas has hammocks on their beautiful beach and a hammock under the palapa at the end of their long pier. CV is quiet and spacious; he could easily walk to night life. I think the ultimate choice depends on what activities and amenities he wants at his doorstep.

I would agree with Chloe, Ramon's should be of your list of choices.
