Anyone know if the busses from Cancun run everyday, even on holidays? I have clients interested in coming from Cancun on Dec 25.

B-if your clients are flying into Cancun on the same day they do not want to go to Cancun' bus station but Playa del Carmen's as they are approx the same distance apart.

Good point! They are arriving the evening of 24 Dec. so will probably spend the night in Mexico. Playa seems more their style...and would be closer for the bus the next morning. Is it easy enough to get a bus to Playa from the airport? I haven't been there in years.

I believed there is a bus (Riviera) from Cancun terminal 2 to Playa, for around US$6 or 7.

From Playa, ADO and a couple of other bus lines go frequently to Chetumal. Note that ADO buses to Chetumal now leave from the NEW terminal not the one near the heart of Playa. The two terminals are a taxi ride away from each other.

When did the terminal change happen Lan? I was just there in July, came in and left from the main downtown terminal in Playa.

The new terminal opened a little over a year ago (I happened to be there for the opening ceremonies -- got free candy.)

At that time, the ADO buses to Chetumal were leaving only from the new terminal. I went to the old terminal where I had always caught them and had to taxi to the new one.

But some other buses, not ADO, still left from the old terminal. Guess it's possible that the ADO Chet buses have switched back to the old terminal, too.
