My siblings and kids are going to be at Banana Beach Resort for Christmas week. I would like to bring along some home-baked Christmas cookies/candy but don't know if it will make it through the airport customs check. Also, can you bring alcholic beverages into the country?
One last question---we're flying into the international airport in Belize City and have seen that the puddle jumper flights to San Pedro are considerably cheaper if you take a taxi to Municipal Airport and fly from there. Is it worth the time and effort to do that and is it safe to travel in Belize City between the airports? Thanks for your assistance!

I don't know about the cookies, but you can bring a modest amount of alcohol in. Yes, the flights from Muni are cheaper and in 'bulk' could save you enough money to be worth the schlep.

The official rule is you can bring in one liter of alcohol (if you are 18 or over). Probably if you had an extra bottle for personal use there would be no problem. But local rum is cheap.

Yes, fares from municipal to San Pedro are about one-half that of from the international airport -- US$26 one-way versus around US$46. Taxi fare between the airports is US$20 (for up to 4 or 5 people). So you can do the math depending on how many in your party.

If you must choose between two evils, pick the one you've never tried before.
