I've heard that Protech is purporting to offer cenote diving. Is that accurate info?

The Blue Hole is just an underwater cenote, so any dive shop that goes to the Blue Hole does cenote diving.

yeah, cave diving is pretty exilarating until you kick up silt, and the flow envelops you in it, and can't see jack shit.

Sharks Cave between South Water Caye and Tobacco Caye, it's great. Requires special certification. Lots of cenote diving and snorkeling along the Yucatan coast from Cancun down to Tulum.

Thanks, yes, I'm reasonably well acquainted with the cenote diving in Mexico.

I'm asking if there REALLY is any cenote diving in BELIZE.

Hey, Gaz? Hey, Protek, whassup?!

Hey Seashell

I am not aware of any cenotes with the exception of the mainland Blue Hole, I did take a well known cave diver to dive a cave system around the basil jones area a few years ago but that certianly was not a cenote it was just big enough for him to crawl through.

I am sure Protech will eventually comment on this questions also.

Gaz is quite right. We will comment when we have something to say. At present we're in the research stage. But yes, if it's possible and attractive we will offer cave diving (are cenotes just caves in Spanish or are they special types of caves?).

A cenote is an underground pool in a cave in which the ceiling has collapsed; that is, a fresh water cenote. Cave in Spanish is cueva.

Thank you, Gaz. Thank you Protek. Then the answer to my question is that your are *not* offering cenote dives and that my friend is being fed a load of bunk.
