No, our population is much too small for a business to cater only to a gay clietele. But what Pedro says is true, you are welcomed, and what happens is that everyone ends up hanging out at the same bars and clubs. In Belize City, try Caesars Palace. Was a gay bar in BC for about 6 mths, but it's closed now.

Word Pirates.........One big problem is that GAY in its current abusage has a single meaning. Its original definition has vanished. When a special-interest group hijacks a term, the rest of us should refuse to go along for the ride. Unfortunately most dictionaries these days, including the latest from Oxford, don't tell us anything prescriptive -- they merely provide examples of ignorant or ideological abuse of words, all of which are presumed to be as valid as are the correct data. As references, they are chronicles of error, and therefore automatically disqualify themselves -- because they assume that usage is the ultimate arbiter of meaning. Those who wish to retain the original use of GAY and reject its usurpation by homosexuals could be expected to draw hysterical charges of homophobia. This is just PC, which is fascism. The abuse of language in the service of an ideology is an enormity that stifles liberty and reason. I want GAY back; homosexuals don't need it, it is not a good code word for "homosexual," and its theft is a crime.

Don we now our gay apparel

I second that one, Dog! You phrased exactly what I always have been thinking. Put those word-jackers right!

You can be gay if you want to be Peter. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Dog, how do think the people from the Greek island of Lesbos, known as Lesbians, feel about that term? I guess given the right mood, they could be "gay lesbians" just like some less confused than Pedro can be "gay heterosexuals". laugh

PS: Dog, maybe we should be a little less suspicious during this Holiday Season and not assume they are hijacking the word. Maybe they are using an acronym - Guys At Your Service - GAYS. smile
