please everyone, Belize is so amazing, spend an extra $150 and fly their, spend more than one day their. The cruise gives you one day and it's not worth promoting the cruise and shorting yourself time their. YOu need a minimum of 3-4 days to even appreciate all it has to offer here.

Some of you people really confuse me. One started out an earlier post by saying he is not intending to offend and then proceeded to do just that. Now one says they do not want to promote cruising to Belize and then does just that. confused

Now, be fair. You can't promote cruising on this message board. Cruisers have their own highly polished boards. This is from an email that I get every week with dirt cheap tempting prices and places until you get to the fine print.

confusion is a way of life for some folks.

If you must choose between two evils, pick the one you've never tried before.

I don't want to promote cruising, in general, but I thought some of you regulars in the Houston area with a flexible schedule might be interested. I know it's from a weekly specials email but not everyone subscribes to it. Just passing it on. Jeez....

Barbara, I didn't mean to rankle you. I think posters on Marty's board have an appetite for Belize that wouldn't be satisfied by schlepping around a cruise ship to get part of one day whizzing around with the cruise masses in Belize. Better to fly out of Houston and stay the week on terra firma.

A long time ago I brought up the idea of traveling to Belize by one cruise ship and leaving by another. I thought it might be a way to finagle a $389 round trip ticket to Belize. The conclusion was that it couldn't be done because the cruise itinerary was to rigid. If anybody has any thoughts on this to the contrary, let me know.

I think you were quite right in your comments. A short day in Belize would be like having someone place a jumbo top shelf marguarita in front of you and only allowing you a single sip!
Having said that, I know lots of people that keep telling me that cruises are the only way to travel. Go figure.
