We are staying at BB, and I was wondering if it's best to bring your own beach towels or are they provided by the hotels?
Trying to figure out what we need to pack. Thanks!

I'm bringing one of those synthetic chamois towels they sell for around $12 at places like REI and other camping/outfitter stores. They're about 1/8" thick, roll up to the size of a small T-Shirt, and soak up loads of water. They can be be wrung out to 98% of its water content, and then it's really light. I figure I can carry this around AC in a fanny pack and use it when I jump off the various docks as I hike up and down the caye.

I'm the guru of high-tech packing laugh laugh laugh

I just love this board. Angelo, you reminded me that I haven't packed my itsy-bitsy towel yet. So thanks a bunch. Will be in on Blackbird Caye 7 days from today. The snow here is over the axe handles (never been sure what that means, but we always say it). See you all in San Pedro March 1st.

For the gals, using a sarong/pareo cotton, as a towel works well, it is flat to pack, and it will dry in the tradewinds quickly, even on the boat.
