I'm from Nanaimo,BC. I sent the following to all on your list, except Global was sent back as unrecognized.

As you have probably heard, Belize was struck by Class 4 Hurricane Keith that stalled over Caye Caulker and Ambergris Caye for 16 hours then headed towards Belize mainland. Extensive damage was done to Caye Caulker, Ambergris Caye, Belize and Corozal Districts. Many are without homes, food, clothes, electricity, etc. Belize maybe a country in Central America, however, there are also many Canadian interests there as well. The Electricity is partly Canadian owned, and Canada has sent down people to help restore power. HMS Carndiff is there as well to offer aid. Please let fellow Canadians know of the plight of this small country that needs our help!
Here are several sites that you can gain more information from: http://ambergriscaye.com/message/Forum2/HTML/001529.html http://ambergriscaye.com/message/Forum2/HTML/001512.html http://ambergriscaye.com/message/Forum2/HTML/001695.html http://ambergriscaye.com/pics.html
Thank you in advance of getting the need for help out tothose who so desperately need it,
I also sent this to our local paper, The Daily News.

Still trying Kathy but the form letter was the last I've heard from BC TV. Eventually they will get so sick of hearing from me they'll do something just to shut me up. Well, one can only hope. Also have been nattering at the local Kamloops station but that seems to also be a dead lost. UGHHH!!!

Hi Marty and Kathy--back on line now--if there is ANYTHING for me to do, please email me.

Cinca; probably what happened is that many sites have their security set so that any email that arrives with an "attachment" tied to it will not except the input--depending on how severe the settings are, they will often reject hyperlinks in an email as an "attachment". Bang.... You receive an email back saying that your email was rejected.... Saves them from the evil macro and, I suppose, the evil virus, but it is MOST annoying to people under circumstances such as this.

What I did at about 04:00 this morning when, I sent a scathing email to the CBC about their lack of coverage, was to copy the address into the email and then delete the "http:www" part of it. This turns it back into just plain text and seems to get through O.K.

Hope this helps!

Great efforts, fellow Canadians. I am a Belizean resident, currently in Toronto on holidays. I have been working on similar efforts without much luck in Toronto. Contacted the Star and CBC. Will try again tomorrow and will also use your lead and contact Global. Trudeau and the revoltion have overshadowed this story but this is a story that needs to be heard. I'm also including instructions for donations in my letters.
