Yesterday was the CALM before the storm…well not really a storm but we wake up to a real plunge in temperature with cloudy skies and a lot of wind…guess that “cold front” has moved in. We realize that this is the day to do a Caye Caulker trip…and instead we’re scheduled for another snorkel this afternoon. Got our days backwards…but we’re going with the flow and it’s all good! A “cold” day here is an average day back home in mid summer! The sun is peaking through the clouds and the sea is pretty rough but it’s not bad enough to cancel any snorkeling plans. Still loving mornings on the balcony!

After another great Banana Beach breakfast, we just hang out on the beach and read and rest all morning. This is part of a great vacation too – just doing NOTHING. I think this dog agrees. Eat your heart out dogs everywhere!

We watch the women who walk the beach with their bundles of weaving for sale. The beach vendors are always friendly and polite and never obnoxious as in some tourist locations.

I can’t resist taking a picture of those pelicans again. They are a constant source of entertainment…flying within inches of our 3rd floor balcony, dive bombing into the water with a great splash after sardines…or just floating on the water near the pier. They are beautiful.

Soon it’s time to wait on the pier for our second snorkeling trip. We’re headed to Mexico Rocks/Tres Cocos this afternoon…and despite the wind and partial cloud cover…we can’t wait…

Looking forward to hearing about Mexico rocks...that is on our list of things to do. Hear it's not crowded and has lots to see....hurry up I can't wait to hear :p
