I am honeymooning in San Pedro in June and want to go snorkeling at Blue Hole & stopping at Half Moon Caye. Has anyone been with Blue Hole Dive Shop? Are they the best or Hustler? Fastest boat?

Also, how is the Winnie Estelle for snorkeling Shark Ray Alley and Hol Chan?

I appreciate this board! I read up on Belize here and decided to honeymoon there (getting married at Mopan River Resort first). Thanks! laugh

I was in San Pedro 10 days ago and "Winnie Estelle" was moored out if front of Aqua Marina Suites the whole time we were there.A lot of boats did not go out that week, as the wind was at times just about gale force. But I think maybe since the boat is "For Sale" they may not be using it, or less. It's a great looking boat and what a dream that would be!!!! about $280,000 USD

Blue Hole Divers doesn't have any boats unless that has changed just recently. They contract out. Anyone please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Amigos del Mar at this time, has the *best* boat for going to the Blue Hole and Halfmoon Caye.

Also, Ambergris Divers have a large snorkel boat that they used to take out but it isn't quite as comfortable as the Amigos Pro48, though it was exclusively for snorkellers.

I think the Winnie Estelle is only available for charters now.

Amigos do have the best boat for the Blue Hole and do a great job. As well as Ambergris there is another option - the "Blue Hole Express" run by Hustler (aka Above and Below Eco Tours).

Above and Below Eco Tours has a big boat owned by Bill of Tradwind's. It is ready to go to Lighthouse atoll - I think on Thursday this week and are planning on making overnight trips very soon. Right now they are looking to go on the full moon of each month.
You can e-mail them at [email protected] or [email protected]
Billy Leslie is running the trips.

I believe the Winnie Estelle only does charters now, we see it moored off of Caye Caulker from time to time, on snorkeling trips. Its a great boat and Capt. Roberto is 1st class.
