Looking for info from anyone who has done LumanaiTrip/Cave tubing. Not quite sure how strenuous the cave tubing part of trip is. Do you actually use tubes or kayaks....and is it downhill as if flowing down a lazy river or lots of paddling? Thanks for any info. have a chronic back problem and don't want it acting up on vacation frown

Very easy - The drive in from Belize city is more difficult than the cave tubing. The walk in through the jungle is easy - shade covered and the TUBE trip is not bad - they may have your group lock legs to arms in a line and everyone drifts through the caves - SOME paddling may be required and if you have flip flops -- you can use those as "paddles" - made it alot easier...

Do they sell underwater FLASH cameras there? I can find underwater diposables everywhere, but can't find any with a flash that would be needed to take pix in the caves!

Zip lock bags! Put the camera with flash in one.

If I had a chronic back problem then I wouldn't even consider the cave tubing.

I also find it quite overpriced for what it is worth, but that's just me.

If I were already staying at Jaguar Paw or Ian Anderson's then it is a better value.

I LOVED cave tubing and didn't find it strenuos at all--we're going back to AC in a few weeks and that's at the top of the "to do" list. It was relaxing just floating with the current--pictures were great. I was ready to go again that afternoon but the rest of the group wanted to move on. Enjoy yourself!

It is a wonderful trip to do. I really love the zoo but know seaduced has cavetubing and horseback riding tour as another option. The horse back riding is at Banana Bank. Both trips are great to do.

It is not that it is strenous; it is how your back is in the hole and how you occasionally need to arch your back to paddle a bit.
