My husband and I LOVED the jamaican jerk at the Jerk pit and if any one has their recipe or one they've concocted that is close please share. I've found several recipes online and none come close. Thanks, Dena
Marilyn at Rasta Pasta packages and sells Jerk Seasoning among many other Belizean/Caribbean seasoning packs. All have the recipe on the package. Check at Rasta Pasta-Coconuts or Rasta Pasta-Caye Caulker.
That's good info for my next visit though that isn't for another year:( We were in AC in December, heading to St. Martin in April and will likely be back to AC in December again. The though of going without the Jerk Pits addictive hot seasoning is .....sniff not pleasant.
Thats the site Jack-a-Roe!!! I will order some Jerk & blackening seasons. Two weeks ago we were sitting at Rasta Pasta on Caye Caulker. It was great. I had the blackened Grouper.
Some of the best jerk seasoning we have had is from St. Lucia- Baron's Jerk Seasoning - find it and try it! We brought some home last year - just ran out - oh, darn, now we have to go back! Unless of course, we find something better to replace it in Belize in May!
