I have been to Belize in May and not gotten one bite. But there are always crawlies in rooms!

I've been there and been bitten worse some times than others. But since I'm usually liberally doused with 95% DEET, it isn't as big a problem as it could have been.

I've rarely run into creepy crawlers in my room. But my last place had a gecko. I was verrrry happy too see him. All I had to worry about where ants. And seeing more ants or fewer ants was pretty much up to how I took care of keeping my kitchen clean.

A fish and a bird can fall in love, but where will they build their nest?

Every morning, you must do your preventive slathering of sunscreen, so why not use Coppertone BUG&SUN, we found it to work great.

Granted if you get into a heavily infested area of insects, bring out your DEET repellent.

One might hear little clicky clacks on the tile floors, just a wee sandcrab, spending the night with you, not to worry he will run behind the commode when you turn on the light.

Unfortunately I am allergic to DEET and even more sensitive to mosquitos (they love me). Skin so soft was what I was going to bring (but hate the smell). Does the sun&bug have deet or some other mystery product?

Has anyone ever heard of using vanilla extract??? i know, it sounds silly. we will be going to the chandelier islands soon and last year the gnats were awful. we have been told to bring vanilla extract this year. hope it works.

Gay, vanilla works great for gnats (at least it does in Minnesota) but it will not work for mosquitoes. Plus you'll smell like an ice cream cone! laugh
