Does anyone have information on Paradise Villas Condos. We are planning a trip at the end of May and are considering staying at Paradise Villas and using Reef Adventures for our dives. This is our first, long awaited trip to Belize. There are three teens in our group and thus, the reason for staying close to town.

We stayed a few doors down at Aqua Marina Suites. I walked by a few times & it looks like a nice place. Good choice to stay in town with 3 teens, they will have fun walking around town. Be sure to have breakfast down the beach from you to the right at Estel,s. Right on the beach, great people, food & location. It's about a 10 min walk.
Have fun

Nice place, condos are well kept. Very nice pool and grounds. Pretty quiet. Short walk to town.
Been there, done that, the washing machine ate the T-shirt

We stayed there for a week 3/15-3/22 and were well taken care of. The property was keep in top condition by folks you hardley ever see! They cared for our every need. They can order sodas and water cheaper than you and can have it in your room ready for your stay. I can not say enough, If you stay with them I do not think you could go wrong! It is nice to be right in town as I had kids there 24,20,16,13 and 10 they never lacked for things to do. They have a great peir to snorkle off of! My thirteen year old never got out of the water. Unless dinner was involved! Ha Ha

We stayed at the Paradise Villas for 2 weeks in February and the only problem we had was our unit was back by the street and it was very noisy all nite long with traffic, so it was difficult to get a good nites sleep.

Thanks to all, the information about Paradise Villas was very useful. Now onto the mainland excursion. Thought we'd end our trip with a few days on the mainland visiting ruins, rivers and jungle. The plan is to rent a vehicle and travel at our own pace. We thought a personal vehicle would give us freedom to travel with ease. Any suggestions for good lodging, possibly around the San Ignacio area. Any preferences on north vs central part of Belize?

I always recommend that the inland portion of a trip be taken at the beginning of the vacation, not at the end.
A fish and a bird can fall in love, but where will they build their nest?

It depends on what you are looking for but I just stayed at several hotels & cabs in the San Ignacio area. The Aguada in Santa Elena, Cahal Pech Village on a hill overlooking the town of San Ignacio and Cohune Palms, a new little cabana placeon the river in Bullet Tree Falls (about 5 miles from SI). All 3 were great though very different from each other. Nothing over $60/nt either! Of course there are the more expensive jungle lodges like Chaa Creek and duPlooys too. Can't go wrong with any of them. You can email me for more info about any of the places if you like. I am working on a trip report (of sorts) but it will be a few days...

We'll be staying at Paradise Villas in early May. Can post report after our return & try to answer questions. Have reserved a top floor beach front unit...and it's looking good about now.
