Youuuuu whooooo ..

My how fast things change! Started out looking for a really laid back vacation (ya know the kind, small place behind the third palm tree on the left.) Seems like the planning stages has been enough to "revise" the spirits.

Have narrowed it down to four choices, and welcome your input. Mind you, I might be comparing apples and oranges here, but maybe this will help:

Young 50ish couple
Don't dive
Need some shaded area
Might try snorkeling (here fishy fishy)
Don't need a party bar, BUT have already packed my lil tropical drink umbrella
Don't need a pool
"On the beach" would be REALLY nice
private-ish

Hmmm .... errrr ..... suggestions anyone?

Mata Rocks
Belizean Reef
Banana Beach
Belizean Shores

(Left out Ramons looked nice BUT perhaps too crowed)

laugh

You want private-ish and shade, check out Seven Seas.

Belizan Shores!! They have everything you could want or need. We were there last Oct. and are going back in June. There is a great web site for the resort and you can book through them at great prices. www.belizeislandvacations.com, they are the exclusive booking agents for the resort and have the best prices!!

Seashell

Ohhhh mannnn .... I promised myself that I wasn't going to even LOOK at any more sites ... but but but ... sure do like all those trees and pink chairs at Seven Seas. What's really close by for eats? As in I don't want to spend the week with my hands in dish water. Especially breakfast, gots to have a good breakfast!

confused

AREWETHEREYET, Papi's is right around the corner the street right behind--he has good brekkies, lunch, anytime. Plus La Popular bakery is right back there too....ooohhh yummmy. I've stayed at 7 Seas several times and it is so nice to sit in the 'front yard' and listen to the ocean, feel the breeze. It is much quieter, less beach traffic down there, so if you are looking to relax and enjoy the quiet, you would be happy there!

I think you might enjoy a pool. Banana Beach is really nice. Nice beach. court yard pool that invites conversation with other guests if you like. Check out their web site. Read Keith Landers "very detailed trip report". A lot of pixs of Banana Beach and his travels. Where ever you stay I'm sure you will have a good time.

My pick for you, out of your list of four.

MATA ROCKS, get the honeymoon package, it is your second honeymoon. Right?

If you stay at Seven Seas or any other downtown place, be sure to have a few breakfasts at Estel's
about midway in town right on the beach. You won't get a better breakfast. Teriffic family that all work at the place. Floors are all sand, and sitting outside in the morning can't be beat. Pull up the websight & have a look.

Enjoy
