Well, Lets see? Looks like I am ready to go:

1. Pack half the stuff I was planning.
2. Everyone has a favorite restaurant so eat any where.
3. Forget swimming off the beach.
4. Water taxi is $10 US/person one way.
5. After dringing, exchange rate becomes difficult.
6. Save $40 US for departure tax.
7. Shoes...what shoes!
8. If your going to get bit even deet doesn't work.
9. Swim with sharks and rays a must.
10. Don't get to ambistious.
11. Leave work in office.
12. Rhum House for Cubans.
13. What the national beer is.
14. Have Fun!!!!!!!!!!!

#8 is also correct...the no seeums LOVED ME! I ended up with MUCHO little bites which got slightly infected. I'm VERY fair skinned and I think that was why...my husband wasn't bothered at all...he's much darker than I. Even with the bites, I had a MARVELLOUS, GLORIOUS, WONDERFUL time. I can't let something so minor spoil my trip!

If the no-see-ums are gonna get ya, then at least it's on a beach with cool tropical breezes AND not in Maine, in the woods, on a damp cold weekend,in the middle of summer and ya gots to wear a towel around your head cuz they be soooooo very bad.

(Been there, done that ... and can pick on Maine cuz I grew up there!)
