I have given up on the vrbo home and have found casa caracol. It looks like a great place and a great location. Has anyone stayed here? Also, does anyone have any photos of this place? I have looked at the web site and there isn't a lot of photos. Please tell me that this place does exist! I don't think I can handle another bogus rental!
Thanks!
Brenda

We stayed at Casa Caracol last year and loved it. Phil and Marie were great hosts and the house was wonderful. It is located on the north side of town, right on the beach. The accomodations are quite comfortable and we loved it. It is also right around the corner from the la popular (i think that was the name...) bakery and Papi's (best food on the island, in my humble opinion...)
The house has a nice front balcony with chairs to sit out and watch the world go by and catch the ocean breeze. You can ask Phil and Marie to stock the fridge with your favorite beverages so they are there upon your arrival. They are also happy to book any day trips, fishing etc. We found the house to fit our group perfectly. We were traveling with two other couples and it was nice having privacy of your own bedroom and having a kitchen to cook a meal or two or have breakfast or lunch was great.
if you have any other questions just ask, or I'm sure Phil or Marie would be happy to help you out. Enjoy!

Is Casa Caracol between Hustlers & Patojos docks?

Hello dbdoberman,

We are just a few hundred feet north of Patojo's -by five properties to be precise.

Thanks for clarification. That is such a neat area. As Khaki said, being so close to Papi's, La Popular, and an easy walk to town is a big plus.

Another big plus for that whole area is that all of Boca del Rio Drive from Hustlers dock to the hand ferry is now a no through route for any traffic wider than a Golf Cart. Great news.

They're already here... but they look like wheelbarrows.

I believe those barriers will be coming down in the next week or so. We stayed at Seven Seas last week while they were going up and we were told they would be down after Easter week. There are a couple of residents that have "Dodge" pickups that live down by 7c's and they need to get to their houses eventually. By the way, 7c's was wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay there.
