I have asked a travel shop near the resort we are staying at and they have golf carts for $15US per hour...of course you get a better deal if you rent it longer. You can even rent it for the week for a pretty good price.
By the way...I see you are from St. Martinville, LA...my husband is from Lafayette, LA...small world.

Hope ya'll have fun...
Melissa

$50/day or $250/week(+tax & gas) for a gasser. MAKE SURE YOU LOCK IT! They stole mine in broad daylight, got it back later that night but was a nervous 8 hours.

Check around. Moncho's charged us $53US for 8 hours [gas] & later learned from a local that for a few bucks more we could have rented one from Cholo's for 24 hours. However, they did deliver & pick it up so we didn't have to return it to their premises & then walk back to the condo. Take a bag/container [used the dive bag] & rope along so you can stash & tie the "goodies" you purchase down. That way no one has to stay with the cart all the time & less opportunity for one to lift the items.

Ambergris carts? was $50/24hours and they delivered. I literally had the nicest cart on the island(probably why they stole it). It was called "Sea Pearl" and had dolphins on the saphire blue paint.

Warning Warning Warning, NEVER leave things in your golf cart unattended, just not a good idea. There are too many hands that are quicker than the eye, and some think if left alone it's FREE.

Not FREE . . . a gift. wink

You meant for them to have it.

Which are better gas or electric? Can you get to the North end of the Island via golf cart?
