Is it true that it will rain every day this week right into next week? I looked at the weather report on this page and it did not look good, but I remember people saying that the showers are brief! I hope they are right!!!
Hi NewYorkers! Just got back. It rained every day we were there. Sometimes twice! No Problem. The showers were beautiful building up over the ocean. The wind was magnificent blowing the palm trees. The rain stung a little if you were out in it and 30 minutes later you would not know it had rained except the raked areas were flat again. Only one day did it rain all day. It is warm, muddy if you are downtown shopping but still PARADISE.
okie is right. The rain is beautiful and doesn't fall hard. Just stick a hat on your head, hitch up the pants and go for it. It doesn't even run the locals out of the water. Makes it easy to spot the tourist 'cause we are the ones with muddy feet. The locals know how to navigate through the streets without getting muddy. Go play in da rain!
Both times we visited last year (March and August) the Belize City weather forecast called for clouds and rain everyday during our visit. In March it never rained once. In August it rained once for 30 minutes on our last morning and then was beautiful sunny and humid. No worries. 23 days and counting..mobunny
Just got back myself. Was also fretting the rain as our outlook everyday on the island was rain. It was no problem at all. Was there the same day Okie was when it was cloudy and rainy all day. At noon we were tired of sitting around so we met some new people, loaded them in our cart and went off on an adventure to find a new bar and some great food. It doesn't really matter what the weather is like. Don't worry about it....
Even in the rain, it's still beautiful, Belizean, San Pedro.
We were on AC in December, and although it rained almost daily, the only time it was uncomfortable was riding back from Caulker in a downpour. Everyone resorted to sitting backwards, wearing dive masks or holding towels in front of themselves. The rest of the time, just enjoy it.
