Does anyone have any thoughts on dive trips they've taken with Protech?

Personally, I like diving with Protech as I have dove with all their divemasters and find the staff quite friendly. The majority of the employees worked for a dive shop that I used to dive with and has since closed. They also have the best rental equipment on the island if you do not have your own. If you do an atoll trip such as the Blue Hole or Turneffe they will arrange with Amigos Del Mar which is the same thing all the other shops do as Amigos has the best boat for such a trip.

I like Protech as well as the boat is not crowded, you have friendly instructors and dive masters and they also have nitrox.

In my experience the vast majority of the shops in San Pedro will treat you well and are safety concious. I'm sure there might be an exception. Sometimes the vibe a shop gives off jives with your personality more and is a better fit for someone.

I have been becoming more proficient at diving as I was just certified with Amigos Del Mar in February. I have since returned to San Pedro six times and ALWAYS dive with Amigos del Mar. They are the most knowledgeable, professional, and just greatest people to dive with...there is a reason that other shops refer divers to ADM for longer trips, and even for smaller ones. If you need more information, and recommendations, just do a search for ADM on this board. Good luck and have fun!!!
