I am looking for the best price on a bone fishing day trip out of AC. I will be staying at Ramon's and am trying to find the best deal.

The satisfaction of paying a low price wears out much faster than the dissapointment of getting a low quality experience.......

Somebody a lot smarter than me said something like that once....

belizeorbust, from my experience, I think you will find the prices that guides charge are very much the same. And, I would venture to say that most of the guides are very qualified. I would choose my guide based on other criteria such as recomendations of past clients more than on price.

Belizeorbust: At $220 you're at low average, but that says absolutely nothing about what you're going to get. IMHO,a big difference in price(not quality)is how much the resort/hotel receives. I've paid $325 and $220 for the same guide, the same week. Also, is your guide willing to expend some petrol or will you hanging around the island all day? The board has commented favorably on a number of choices in the past: Vincent Dawson out of Ruby's, Manuel Azueta out of Tradewinds, Geo. Bradley etc. And I sure Capt. Jeff has an opinion.

yes the capt always has something to say about fishing my passion in lifeand I fish here once a month for almost two years . and again just my feelings ,yes capt bicho fishingsanpedro.com is my guide and a great one at that .and yes the island does have a few very good ones . and each person who comes here as well as some locals like there guy that they went with or use .when I do go TO THE LAGOON TO FLATS FISH with capt bicho we catch lots and lots of bone fish ,PERMIT AND A TARPON ONCE IN A WHILE I am realy a reef guy but will change off from time to time . capt bicho rivero is a super nice guy and knows his stuff .he is in your price range but as my fellow boarders shared with you price is not the factor ,as $225 for a full day is a steal and dirt cheap,in the fla.. keys it is more than double with the class of guides they have here .get a great guide life is short .go do a search for comments on capt bicho and fishingsanpedro.com people love him and so will you go live the dream and enjoy ..
