dreaminzfree Offline
I'm lucky enough to be heading to AC in 2 weeks. This is my first adventure to this particular paradise. I've been checking the weather and it looks like warmth and rain. Trying to figure out what to pack aside from a large smile. Would someone be so kind as to give me an idea of the weather on an average October day...and eve? Thanks!!!

A lightweight waterproof windbreaker, long sleeves and hood.
Lightweight long pants, and long sleeves, and something to cover your feet (for bug bite protection during "happy hour" for bugs).
DEET.

I think she has been at the belekins...

I am going in February, never been at that time of year. Do I REALLY need long sleeves? And should I borrow a wet-suit to keep me toasty while snorkeling?

dreaminzfree the best advice I can give you is take half of what you think you need. There is no need to take any dressy things as everywhere you go will be very very casual. Lots of shorts and T-shirts should do the trick and I wore flip-flops everywhere. On our most recent trip, my hubby took his shoes off after landing at the SP airstrip and didn't put them back on until we left to go back home. That should give you an idea of how laid back everything is.

Have a Great time!!! And if you want to, visit the SAGA society there in SP. They are good people trying to help the animals there on the island. Go to http://ambergriscaye.com/sagasociety/index.html if you want to check them out.

Yeah, it can be chilly in Feb. 50's even at night. Bring a long sleeved something.

I lived in SP, still visit every Jan/Feb/Mar/Apr/May and have never needed a long sleeve garment. You guys don't drink enough !
