I always thought Cafe Ole had pretty good coffee, but when I was on the island in August I saw it had closed.

I think good iced coffee would do well in San Pedro. Most of the U.S. specialty coffee places I'm familiar with do a ton of business in iced coffee in the summer.

Vicki!
Hello and Hi. Indeed, Chap stopped by the other day to see the "progress" downstairs (back in action this Monday night!) and told me 'bout Caracas too.
Yep, no real call for the coffees, we originally had hoped to cater to an evening med-student crowd of java hounds, bought board games and such, but it never materialized. moved away from coffees early last year. I agree about the ice coffees; however, there are a couple of regular stops on my errand route for a good icey coffee jolt. Vicki,See ya soon?

ref: hot and hot coffee

Last month we drank hot coffee every morning facing the rising sun. Soaking up the sun and breaking into that sweat every morning made the rest of the day seem fine. Once you've done the "drenched thing" the rest of the day is ok.

If they tell you it won't work over satellite, they didn't try hard enough!

Carribean Connections, adjacent to Coral Beach Hotel on Barrier Reef Drive has the same coffee/expresso/latte as did Cafe Ole. They also do a nice variety of hot teas. Internet plus caffeine fix in air conditioned comfort. PS. please excuse the shameless plug.

Are refills on coffee available at the restaurants or is each cup a separate fee (Like in Aruba)? Asked for refill and got charged for each cup of java.

H20tstr,
I don't know about other places, but we only charge for the first cup of coffee at Caribe Island. Refills are free.
(I was recently travelling and had to purchase the packet of creamer!!!!!!)
Cheerz,
Vicki

PS: Chris, I will be dropping in for a quick visit in the next few weeks. Don't worry, CP's is on my MUST DO list. Hugs to Jenn.
