I have read many posts listing the dress as shorts t-shirts and flip-flops. We will be staying at the Victoria House and will have a meal or two there. Should pants be worn in their restaurant? And/or is there any other place on AC that would require pants? Will be there Thanksgiving week, will temperature in evenings require pants anyway?

Is bike riding to and from town difficult (i.e. soft sand)? Is it too sandy for tennis shoes? Will they be constantly filling up with sand?

Are wading booties strongly suggested for snorkling or just swimming off the pier?

Go barefoot, don't wear pants. Shorts work fine. Swim off the pier. Too much sea grass near shore.

Going barefoot all the time is not necessarily a good idea especially when you run into a good mix of sand and course coral. Wading booties are good for snorkeling I preferred them over fins (not so much like swimming with clown shoes on).
We rented bikes and liked getting around on them. It wasn't that great the day it rained. But otherwise it was fine. It is bumpy but you learn to adjust when to sit and when not to (you return home with "buns of steel" laugh )
My husband took and wore his tennis shoes and had no problem with sand as it not really fine sand.

Time flys - have fun!

Hubby took shoes off when we landed on AC and did't put them back on till we took of back to the mainland. I personally thought it was a bit yucky in town at times and I really thought he was going to get cut by some glass somewhere but he didn't. Finally, none of the restaurants, or anybody else for that matter, care if you have shoes on or not and a muscle shirt will do superbly in the finest dining establishments. laugh Alas, this is one of the many reasons we LOVE AC!!!
