The TIDES rock! Patojo "Pat", Sabrina, Eden, Sabrinita are one of the nicest families on the island. Pat and his lovely wife and six beautiful girls will show you a real "San Pedro" experience.

Great place run by a local couple. Sabrina runs the Hotel and her husband has the dive shop, Patojos Scuba Centre. Just north of town on a quiet beach just north of High School so before the cut, they also have a three bedroom apartment as well as single rooms. Papis is round the corner as is the bakery and town ten minute walk.

Rather than criticize, why don't you look up to the one o'clock position on this window, click on the SEARCH button, enter The Tides, and have a look at the 3 pages of results...? If you "...did all the research..." most of your questions would have been answered and you would be able to zero in on specifics which would/could be readily answered by the many experienced folks on this board.

I sometimes wonder at the tiny little pathetic critters who feel the need to criticize when someone asks a question. These folks have nothing to say and miss no opportunity to demonstrate it.

Most board members are helpful and are glad to share informatoin with others. We try keeping the site friendly. Likewise, we're concerned when disturbing information about crime, inappropriate development or government corruption harms Ambergris Caye. Most of us can't spend as much time on the island as we'd like to.

On the other hand, most of us have better things to do than answer questions that could easily be answered by the inquirer with a little effort. I doubt that prior to asking the questions that prompted these responses, that anyone bothered to look at this websites' map that shows exactly where The Tides is and where nearby restaurants are. As Sandb noted, virtually all of the questions asked at the beginning of this thread have been answered multiple times and could have been found with a quick search. I did a search for "The Tides" and there were 3 pages of results.

Criticize questions? Only if the questioner is too apathetic to actively participate in learning.
