Upcoming Race For anyone interested in taking part during September 21st celebrations, Also be a full moon that night.


The Belize Canoe Association;announces the first annual Belize Extreme Canoe Adventure Race; to be held on Sept 21st and 22nd, 2002. This 170 mile canoe
race ;will start at the Hawkesworth Bridge in San Ignacio on the afternoon
of Saturday, August 24th, and will go through the night to end at the BelCan
Bridge in Belize City at noon on Sunday ;August 25th. The BECA Race;will be the most arduous event in Belize as up to ;45 proffessional canoers paddle over 18 hours Non-Stop competeing for $15,000 in Prizes and Trophies
