I was just wondering if anyone knows if they will ever be roads and a proper bridge to Eden Isle so we don't have to wade through knee deep water to get to property? I understand it's our own responsibility to make our lots high and dry, but as we build up our lots it will push more water onto the "roads" making it deeper each year. It would be nice to be able to access our property year round without having to buy a boat.......lol

The roads are a subject of contention because property taxes were set high by the previous Village Council Chairman and we get absolutely nothing in return.
That will only change if the residents write letters to the VC., make an appointment with the Chairman, and speak at the monthly meetings.
I did this with the previous chairman but he took our money and did nothing.
This Chairman is honest and hardworking and will respond, but not if I am a single voice.
I formally gave the roads to the GOB, both recently and as a condition of my permit in 1991.
The gift states that the Village Council is in charge.
You can make a dif if you choose to speak in their office and bring along some friends.
