The last I heard, was that the land was being filled from excavated sand. Guess I need to go down there and take a look...

Pelican Subdivision like Eden Isles is not the best land deal on the island. Try the North side if you are looking for nice high ground. As you know, like Dane they have barely been filling mangrove swamps and selling it to unsuspecting tourists for years making them gringos getting very rich in Belize...ha..ha... Don't build a big house it might sink.

North side as in ... no way to get there? the other side of the split?

The whole island is basically fill from the ocean (sand). So what's the difference?

Northside happens to be a pretty solid limestone base in most areas!
