I can't find any information and am quite confused as to what in the world would have caused the Sandbox Restaurant to close after 20 years or more of business. Does anybody know what occupies the old location and the now closed concrete location on the water or whom owns the properties? I can't remember who owned the restaurant right off hand.
The new Chairman Wayne Miller. In his short time in office he has worked more than the last Chairman in 4 years. He is the best thing that has happened to Caye Caulker in twenty years.
Thanks Dane. Did he shut it down in order to take that position or bc business had declined? Is it available for lease now? I do remember reading the resignation letter of the last chairman stepping down from his position....sounded like it was a mess.
We had hoped that Rasta Pasta was going to reopen in that space but that fell through. Now Theres a BBQ and Blues place going in. They've painted a nice mural and I think it is going to open for business soon.
