The last coordinates I saw from NASA suggest that the eye was a bit south of Placencia village, but I don't have a lot of confidence in the data. With such a compact storm -- the hurricane force winds probably extend no more than 15 or 20 miles out from the eye -- a few minutes of latitude make a lot of difference. The best of all possible hurricane scenarios would be for the storm to come ashore south of Monkey River, the coastal area in Belize with probably the fewest people, but I don't know.
