HURRICANE REPORT 9:30 A.M. EST, Monday morning.
Good News!
Peter's guess that the front in the Gulf of Mexico was lifting north
is correct. The
center of circulation is now about 6 miles off the coast of the Yucatan
and chugging north about 3 miles or more per hour. The center of Keith
at 9:30 was 7 miles north of Xcalak in Mexico and plowing along off the
reef in a northeasterly direction.
There is a big patch of rain, but low winds in the South West quadrant
covering most of Belize in the north, but it is not a danger to anyone.
In fact, boats should be able to start moving to Caye Caulker and San
Pedro by noon today, if this track keeps up.
I expect to see some Belize Defense Force troops on Caye Caulker and
San Pedro by 2 p.m. Today Monday at this rate. Are they ready to go
Prime Minister?
