I hope that the BZ government will be pro-active and immediately declare a paperwork-free moratorium on all customs duties, not only for relief supplies, but for ALL imports into the country, since this is necessary to rebuild infrastructure and get their life back to normal. People who must restock and rebuild and re-furnish their homes, tourist-oriented facilities (hotels, resorts, boats, etc.) and other businesses must not be taxed (or have their materials and supplies delayed) in the usual way. Hoping to see an announcement to that effect from Belmopan as soon as communications are restored.

You are so right Susan. I wonder if there is someone to talk to who has some influence along that line? The people there need every break they can get!
