Environmental preservation in the construction and ongoing operation of Calico Jack's Village is a personal priority of its owner and developer, Chester "Chet" Williams and wife Ydahlia.

Calico Jack's Village is located on the northern beach of Placencia peninsula. In deciding to build a destination here for travel lovers, the Williams made a commitment to ensure that the surrounding jungle and waterways would be left in their natural condition.

"Calico Jack's was built to blend with the surrounding environment, protecting as much of the natural habitat as possible," says Chet.

Chet Williams is a builder by trade, and inspired by the need for a building material that would withstand the high-velocity winds of an occasional hurricane, he invented UroBlock(tm), a durable and fire resistant material whose components and manufacturing processes are ideal for remote tropical structures. UroBlock(tm) was used in the construction of Calico Jack's.

A Mayan designed and pirate-themed resort destination, Calico Jack's Village features seven spacious beachfront cabanas and two villas for rent or for sale nestled amongst coconut palms and tropical vegetation on a beautiful secluded beach, 12 miles north of Placencia village. Amenities include a full-service bar and open-air restaurant, swimming pool, complimentary bicycles and kayaks, volleyball, and a large dock over the ocean for lazy afternoons in a hammock with a book or a piña colada. The village offers honeymoon packages and a variety of land and sea tours.
