The Ministry of Works has announced that the Laguna Seca Ferry (that's the second one as you travel from Corozal Town to Sarteneja) will be closed for about two weeks beginning at 7am on Monday, 15 July, 2013. The purpose of the closing is to repair the deck, which is clearly in need.

The larger Pueblo Nuevo Ferry (between Corozal Town and Progresso) will need the same kind of work, but those repairs are at least two months away, according to Mr. Maurice Rogers, District Technical Supervisor, Ministry of Works.
