"Disabled Peoples International is a cross disability organization that simply means national assemblies in each country must be comprised of a cross disability, meaning a physical disability, a hearing impairment or deaf, blind or visual impairment, intellectual impairment. There are other disabilities but those are the major disabilities that ought to be a part of your national assembly executive body."

"What's the goal of the organization on a whole?"

HENRIETTA DAVIS RAYE

"The goal of the organization is to create an environment where persons with disabilities have access to the whole range of opportunities of advanced society and that is education, housing, training, employment, recreation. The state must provide the facilities to assist persons who have a disability."

"Now tell us some of the works or some of the courses that are being down here in ITVET in Belize."

HENRIETTA DAVIS RAYE

"We are here to strengthen the Belize organization. Coming out of the 8th Regional Assembly held in 2011 in Jamaica, we developed a strategic plan and coming out of that plan, countries were recognized that needed capacity building to strengthen the leadership of their organization and so I am here along with my assistant, Sharon Edwards to do a capacity building workshop with the executive members of the organization here in Belize."

The workshop concludes on November 2.
