Does anyone recall if they were asked for a round-trip ticket when you entered the country? I don't know my next stop or if there even is one. Suggestions, thoughts?

not in 20+yrs of multi-year visits. More likely to be queried at the point of embarkation than at BZE.

Agree with klc. I have never been asked.

At the airport when getting on a plane I have had to produce proof of my residency when using a one way ticket to Belize. It's not at this end that they care, it's the airline that cares. If you were entering Belize on a one way ticket and Belize considered you an undesirable then the airline would have to pick up the tab for returning you to your point of origin.

If you are staying more than 30 days and you go to check in with immigration to extend your visitors visa you may have to prove that you have enough funds to pay for a return ticket or to produce the return ticket itself.

Yes, the airline in the US require a round trip or through ticket if you are not a resident. One year I did not have my residency papers and had to buy a ticket on to another destination. I was assured that I could get a refund for this and I did. I never travel without my residency card now.

Before we got our residency the AA counter person made us purchase a return ticket before we could board. After we landed in belize we went to the counter and got a refund on the ticket took 2 weeks to actually get the money back

Curious that you can get a refund when they gouge you for big bucks just to change flight dates .....
Airlines are definitely confusing in their policies.

When you are required to buy the return ticket, Diane, you just buy the one way at the fully refundable rate. Then you get the refund.
