Greeting from the beehive (los angeles, cali). Whole family coming down in a week to respectfully enjoy your paradise. I'm a former law enforcement offcr & EMT & having a flashlight, leatherman tool, & folding knife on my belt is just part of getting dressed (& even allowed in our restrictive political climate), but have run afoul of the constabulary in mexico. What are the laws in ambergris caye/san pedro? I hate being an ugly american & reflecting badly on my country. Thanks for any insight you can give me.

This caused me to get a tape measure and measure my pocket knife. Looks like I'm one fourth of an inch over the limit. I'll take my chances.

Thank you simonb! That's a definitive answer, & i can easily comply w/the blade length restriction.
