Hello everyone,
I will sound crazy but I need to find, a place to stay for about a week and roundtrip airline tickets and meals and other random spending cash, and it all needs to be done under $3,000
can anyone try to help, to find a way to do this?
it is 2 ppl that are 55 and one is 15.
It is probably impossible.
But any help would be greatly appriciated

Actually, $3,000 isn't out of the picture. You didn't say where you are flying from... I'd call a travel agent, don't tell them you have $3,000 to spend on the trip, and see what they can come up with for you. That doesn't mean all travel agents would spend your $3,000 only a majority.

You need to talk with someone you can trust, like Barbara K from this board. I think she is quite honest and will explain your options.

Mike, Where are you flying from? $3000 for all 3 people? You want a budget hotel?

Pedro1 (peter) has a new hostel that sounds pretty nice but cheap. i think for only about $25/day per person you can sleep, eat a barbeque lunch and have a beer.

Were Flying from Minneapolis, MN, so its a long ways away.

It's the airfare that's going to bite into your budget.

We are flying this January from Mpls. We are going via Houston. The best price I founf was around $530 pp w/ Continental. As for lodging we are staying at Caribe Island. We also are trying to stay under $3000, but we have only 2 peoples. Good luck!!

If all three of you are staying in the same room it should be easy to stay for less than $100us/nite.The hideaway is a good option in this case. Three of us stayed in a condo last summer at Playador for $80us. If you have time do some shoping around for the best deal.The lodging link above is a good place to start.

Ruby's Hotel is right on the beach and right in town, they are budget. A room with fan and private bath is $30 US a night with A/C it's $47 US a night. They are very friendly there and are very popular. You can eat for cheap as well, buy your own fruit for breakfast and eat in the park at the local stands for very reasonable. As someone has said already the airfare is going to be the killer. Don't forget you can fly into Cancun and take the bus down - sometimes there are much cheaper flights to Cancun.
