Lovely to see them in the wild, where they belong. Sadly, these highly social and intelligent animals are often taken from the wild to live a very sad life as pets. They are very cute as babies but as they mature, the 'cute' quickly wears off. They are highly destructive and as they reach sexual maturity they can become very aggressive, at which time they are often abandoned by owners. Sadly, once they have been habituated to humans, they will not be able to survive in the wild. The pet trade in Belize is destroying our beautiful jewel. Please don't encourage people to keep these (or any Belizean wildlife - including and especially parrots) wild animals in captivity by taking pictures with them. It's against the law.
